The total number of startups in India rose from 471 in 2016 to 72,993 in 2022, and 107 startups entered the unicorn club in 2021.
Over the last 2 years, India has seen a boom in startup projects and startups turning Unicron. If we look at some of the statistics, the total number of startups in India rose from 471 in 2016 to 72,993 in 2022, and 107 startups entered the unicorn club in 2021. That’s a huge increase, don’t you think? But it’s also a reality that many of these startups fail to capture the market due to a lack of knowledge and end up closing their shutters.
That is where Growth Hacking, also known as Growth Marketing, comes into the picture. You can think of it like this: If marketing is a tree, then Growth hacking is one of its branches. But what exactly is Growth hacking? If you think of one of those magical hackers that break into security systems, you need to stop! Growth hacking is a type of marketing that helps startups and businesses grow rapidly by monitoring analytics and performance of the product or service and identifying the gaps in between.
It's like filling in those puddles and cracks in the road for a smooth ride ahead. Running a startup is in no way an easy task, you have to see what’s working and what might put a stop to your product, and you have to keep experimenting for a while to fully understand your position in the market. Growth hackers have specialized knowledge about each area of performance regarding business services and products. They play a crucial role in the growth of any startup in the industry.
