Weekly Roundup
NFTs are kind of a big deal though. But stuffing them inside games might not be the best idea.
What is a good weekend? A cup of coffee and the BYM newsletter in your inbox, that’s what. Here’s a rundown of what we posted this week.
Pinterest has always been a hub of creativity. But it’s also a thriving e-commerce platform. With various shopper-friendly features, it’s ideal for selling products having a visual impact. How do you sell on Pinterest? Just set up a business account and link it with your online store. That’s pretty much it. And try using rich pins. They’re called ‘rich’ for a reason. And no, you can’t sell NFTs.
NFTs are kind of a big deal though. But stuffing them inside games might not be the best idea. Ubisoft tried it, and they received major backlash. And they barely sold any. Ouch. Speaking of selling, let’s say you own a business, and you wanna run an ad campaign. Only you don’t have loads of cash sitting in your backyard. That’s not a problem if you use google ads. They’re cheap, and you can tell they work because, well, you can’t spend a minute on the internet without seeing them.
You also can’t escape all these online investment gurus talking about investing, stocks, trading like it’s witchcraft. It isn’t that complicated guys. Getting started is pretty easy, and there are plenty of apps in India that help you trade stocks. Zerodha, Angel Broking and Upstox are good examples. Do your research, though. There are risks involved. You can’t just go ‘buy the dip’ and beat the market. If it was that easy, everybody would own a spaceship. Or a chocolate factory. Or a self-cleaning toilet. Something really cool.
Even if they don’t own cool stuff, pretty much everyone you know is probably too busy looking cool on Insta (Facebook? That’s for boomers). That’s a lot of people. And to some, that means a lot of money. There’s a lot of ways to earn money on social media. Affiliate marketing, selling merch, and if you’re popular, partnering with brands.
And that’s pretty much it for this week. Keep your eyes glued to your inbox so that you don’t miss the next one. Do. Not. Blink.
Cheers.
