Influencers and content creators are more popular among the younger generation, and almost every brand is moving towards wooing the youth with their quirky marketing campaigns and strategies. But is the road to content creation more straightforward than the mainstream career path?
Certainly not! Content creation is continuously wrecking your brain to come up with new and engaging ideas that are worth people’s attention and love. Trust me; the entire BYM Team knows this fact! We are not saying that choosing a mainstream career path is wrong or isn’t worth it; all we are trying to say is that choose something that excites you. Although it might not be possible for a dozen million reasons, I hope you get that chance.
In this week’s podcast, we had a very special guest, Aakaanksha Monga, who is a travel content creator. Traveling is not just her job but something she absolutely adores and loves. “Traveling runs in my blood,” if we have to describe her in her own words. From leaving a well-paid corporate job to chasing her passion for traveling and content creation, she has built a massive following of 327K on Instagram and a community of 10.8k subs on YouTube.
In this podcast, Rakshit talks with Aakanksha about her content creation process and what it's like to be a full-time creator, building your own community from scratch, and the efforts and challenges one faces in the journey of content creation. Don’t forget to tune in because you’ll get some major takeaways from this budding creator.
#BYMExpresso☕: Reset and Recharge with Meesho
Meesho, an Indian startup founded in 2015 by Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal, has come up with a Mental Health initiative called ‘Reset and Recharge’.
It is an 11-day, companywide break from October 22 to November 1, where employees can prioritize their mental health first after a hectic holiday shopping season. A post regarding the same was shared by founder and CTO Sanjeev Barnwal on Twitter.
The revolutionary initiative has been announced for the second time in the last 2 years. Meesho hopes that ‘Reset and Recharge’ would pave the way for other companies to adopt similar employee-first policies when burnout and anxiety are becoming significant problems for today’s workforce.
This is not the first time the Bengaluru-based e-commerce company has actively pushed forward-looking policies. In the past, Meesho initiated a “boundaryless” workplace model, introducing an infinite wellness leave and gender-neutral parental leave.
