Something out of Nothing
Nothing's marketing strategy is quite similar to OnePlus, as the phone was sold through an invite-only system. The invite-only system worked well for OnePlus and was able to create hype.
Today we are going to discuss Nothing! We are talking about the Nothing company, relax! It was founded by Carl Pei, who also happens to be the co-founder of OnePlus.
Nothing launched its first smartphone, Nothing Phone (1), in India on July 12, 2022. Basically, it looks like an iPhone but not to the extent that Apple will sue them for it. It has a transparent back with over 900 LEDs fitted in its back panel to give it a very unique look. We have not seen any phones with this design and style.
This is Nothing’s marketing strategy on which it is promoting its product in the industry. Before the launch of Nothing Phone (1), the company created the much needed buzz around the phone by placing itself as something totally new and different in the market. Carl Pei and his marketing team wanted to introduce the phone as a piece of art.
The marketing strategy is quite similar to OnePlus, as the phone was sold through an invite-only system. The invite-only system worked well for OnePlus and was able to create hype because of its scarcity in the market initially.

They also discuss its competition with other famous brands, including Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus and how it has differentiated itself based on its unique design.
Those of you who don’t know, Shashank and Rakshit are huge fans of creative designs, and Shashank is something of a designer himself! So, for Nothing Phone (1), he wants to customize its design. We don’t know what he wants to modify but let’s hope we'll be able to see it someday.
